The Manager's Psychological Safety Toolkit

A 20-minute foundation micro-course for line managers and supervisors. It covers four behavioural micro-habits: asking situational questions, showing productive vulnerability, responding constructively to bad news and neutralising defensive reactions. It also explains the difference between general good practice and duties that need local legal verification. Pass mark: 80%.

This course gives line managers and supervisors practical, low-effort habits for making it safer to speak up in everyday work. Lesson 1 covers asking situational questions and demonstrating productive vulnerability. Lesson 2 covers responding constructively to bad news and neutralising defensive reactions, and explains why legal duties must be verified locally. The content is country-neutral and describes suggested practice, not statutory requirements. A 10-question quiz checks understanding. Training supports, but does not replace, good work design and consultation with employees.
